Based on Telegram account’s current activity level, Telegram’s systems may decide to de-prioritize your account for third-party applications.

When this happens, third-party applications like the copier will not receive instant updates from Telegram from high-subscriber channels/groups.

Usually this happens to,

• Accounts that are only used to follow channels.
• Accounts that do not engage with other real users.

Here is what you need to do

Doing these will signal that your account is active and in use.

• Actively chat in groups. (this seems to be the best strategy so far)
• Be mentioned in groups by other real members.
• Chat with T2Msupport using the same account.

Why is this happening?

In simple words, to reduce load on their servers.

As of May-2024, Telegram has approximately 1.5 billion total users and 800 million active users. Which means ~700 million accounts are either

1. Dormant/Inactive accounts (accounts only used for following channels/groups but no real chatting or interactions) most probably you are reading this article because your account belongs to this category. These accounts will get de-prioritized for third-party apps.

2. Fake user accounts (accounts used for spamming, generating fake views and subscribers using software which is in violation of Telegram terms of service). These accounts will get banned permanently.

Telegram only want to spend their server resources to serve real active users and to their official apps. Which means de-prioritized accounts will get their messages delayed from large channels/groups for their third-party apps.

There is no official statement from Telegram regarding this issue. However, the online developer community believes they have given priority to their official applications over third-party applications due to scalability concerns.

Why Telegram Ban accounts

As of now Telegram does not give reasons after they ban an account. Also, there is no official statement or any information from Telegram about this process. Therefore we can only speculate what might have happened by following their general terms of use.

Tl;Dr we think doing these things will get you flagged which might lead to a ban.

1. Spamming: Sending a large number of unwanted messages or unsolicited messages to a group of people or individuals is considered spamming and can result in a ban.
2. Violating community guidelines: Telegram has a set of community guidelines that all users must abide by. Violating these guidelines, such as promoting hate speech, can result in a ban.
3. Scamming: Reported of scam or defraud other users on Telegram can result in a ban.
4. Using multiple accounts: Creating multiple accounts to bypass a previous ban or to engage in spamming or other prohibited activities can result in a ban.
5. Sharing illegal content: Sharing content that is illegal, such as illicit pornography or copyrighted material, can result in a ban.
6. Using VOIP or Virtual numbers: Using numbers bought off from the internet will result in a ban.

I got banned when I logged in to the T2M app

Telegram to MT4 is a third party-app or an unofficial app for Telegram. This means this software is not produced by Telegram or any of the official partners. We use Telegram’s API to connect with your telegram account and receive signals. However, we are working towards being an official partner or getting recognized by Telegram.

Telegram will ban your account if they find your Telegram account is flagged(violation of terms of use or suspicious) when logging in to an unofficial app. One reason we could think of this is to limit the potential abuse of the platform from flagged/ potentially dangerous accounts.

In fact, if you log in to any unofficial telegram app using a flagged account, you will risk your account getting banned. This does not mean Telegram to MT4 app is harmful. There are many unofficial apps that are used to spam messages and get fake channel subscriber view counts etc. Because of them, telegram do not let flagged accounts to login to unofficial apps.

How do I recover my account?

Some account bans are temporary. We cannot tell you how long will they last. Usually they last from few hours to 7 days from our experience.

If you think Telegram has banned your account by mistake, you can send an email to spam@telegram.org to appeal. Make sure to include your phone number in the email. Explain that you did not violate any terms and conditions of Telegram and why your account ban should be removed. Make sure to type the email in your own words. Using templates might get your email filtered out by a spam filter.

Telegram is known for slow responses therefore you will need to be a bit patient. You also can try these alternate methods as well.

Conclusion

Since telegram is very secretive about their banning and re-instating policies we cannot exactly determine why accounts are banned or how long it will take to get accounts recovered. Your best option is to appeal to through emails.

Telegram’s API has allowed us to create great tools such as Telegram2Mt4. However this comes at the cost of bad actors(spammers, fake channel view counters etc.) exploiting the API to for their own interests.

To fight back, Telegram has anti-spam systems to identify and block suspicious accounts from abusing the platform. Sometimes, these systems get it wrong and block users that do not violate terms.

Lets hope that things will be improved in future and Telegram will be more transparent when banning users and provide fast support for recovering accounts.
